EXCITING NEWS!

HOPE Education Group is now
Joy Hope Collective, LLC.

Joy Hope Collective (J.H.C.)
New name, expanded engagement born out of 30 years of work as an educator, coach and consultant.

Why Joy Hope Collective? Having witnessed and experienced the ongoing challenges to equity that keep us all unwell, I have had to dig deep to chart a path that will support my personal and professional health. Two guideposts I have learned to honor are Joy and Hope: both offer pathways to thriving collectively, compassionately and unapologetically.

HOPE's work will continue to support equity and wellness to Help Other People Excel, by providing engaging, transformative professional development that inspires equity & excellence.

I look forward to being in community with you,

Snowdrop Flower

The Snowdrop flower...beautiful in its simplicity, but also in its ability to thrive. It blooms in winter, amid snow and cold temperatures, making it unique among flowers.

The Snowdrop flower is HOPE's symbol because it represents the ability to persevere towards equity, excellence and wellness for all. It is a perfect physical representation of the core principles that HOPE embodies.

The joy in my work comes from collaborating with a variety of people and organizations to promote individual and collective growth and development. I support the creation of healthy learning and working environments that transform personal and organizational wellness, and center equity as an inextricable and non-negotiable part of the organizational culture. I look forward to partnering with you.

-2021 Personal Work of Racial Justice Participant

"This was a spectacular course! The course material, communication skills, and self reflection tools were effective and well presented. I learned things in this course that I use, not just with students, but in my daily life. I am truly grateful!!"

-2020/2021 Teach For
Equity Fellow

"Krista is an amazing soul who offers an authentic voice of wisdom."

-Reverend Dr. Zina Jacque

"Krista thinks strategic ally, understands and applies systems thinking, and is able to build a culture that fosters 'good to great' thinking and actions. She has deeply internalized the attributes of a high capacity leader through her ability to apply such leadership attributes as 'leader as critical thinker', 'leader as critical friend', 'leader as coach', 'leader as community builder' and 'leader as active listener'.

-Dr. Richard Streedain

"Krista’s work had a major impact on student learning and staff professional growth during her time in our district. Krista gets my highest recommendation for any coaching & consulting position she takes on. Schools will greatly enjoy her wealth of knowledge, her ability to custom fit the training to the needs of the staff and school, her energy, and her professionalism."

-Carol Kearns

"Krista demonstrates numerous professional gifts. Sensing others’ emotions and their perspectives, she takes an active interest in their concerns. "

-Kristi Woika

"I think we are creating a safer, open environment for learners to express when they have observed or
experienced bias. They are bringing it up on surveys or directly to faculty and we have been able to own
it and address it in real time.”

-2022-2023 Teaching For Equity Fellow

“This fellowship has provided a new lens (equity principles) through which I can interrogate my practices
as an educator and administrator and bring them into a better, more productive and effective space for
students…”

-2023-2024 Teaching For Equity Fellow

“Simply outstanding, truly created a brave space for people to share and to support each other, to be
vulnerable and to break down our preconceived notions/biases to be able to grow together.”

-2023-2024 Teaching For Equity Fellow

“The facilitators were incredibly knowledgeable and also did a wonderful job facilitating multiple
perspectives and opinions throughout the course. I was very grateful for their leadership.”
